Spelling Bee

In your child's folder you will find a copy of 50 spelling words. These words are study words and will be called during our school's spelling bee on Friday, January 16th. If you would like your child to participate in the spelling bee, please work with your child on learning to spell the first grade words included on the list. The spelling bee is a wonderful opportunity for students to extend their learning and to also prepare for spelling bees in the years to come.

In order to determine who will attend the spelling bee, we will have a class spelling bee this Thursday. The top spellers will then participate on Friday. From there, the top school spellers will move on to the county spelling bee.
