Last week we celebrated the 100th day of school! There's no doubt the kids had a GREAT time celebrating. Instead of sticking to our normal afternoon routine, we switched things up and completed all sorts of fun activities that correlated with the number 100. Here are a few pictures of our activities in action.
Building a Hundreds House:
Group 1: Brittany, Hayleigh, Will & Selena
Group 2: Amelia, Derek, Leah & Malachi
Group 3: Allie, Noah & Myra
Group 4: Lila, William & Evie
One of the highlights of the day was calendar time. The boys and girls were very excited to update our class calendar and move those straws to the hundreds place. It was a milestone for sure!
On another note, we are still learning about penguins. We completed our fictional unit and are now working on researching penguins around the world. Students are doing a great job using their iPads to locate information about their penguin. Stay tuned for pictures! Until then, look how cute these penguins turned out!
